Pursuant to an act of the General Court of said state of New-Hampshire (passed February 23, anno Domini, 1785,) for raising the sum of twenty-two thousand pounds ... You are hereby required to assess the polls and estates (agreeably to the laws of ths state) within the town of [blank] the sum of [blank] ... Given under my hand and seal, at Exeter, the twenty-fifth day of March, anno Domini, one thousand seven hundred and eighty-five.
